Tim Wilson was a student on the University of East Anglia Creative Writing M.A. programme, where he studied under Angela Carter and Malcolm Bradbury. Since 1986 he has been a professional writer. His highly acclaimed historical novels written as Jude Morgan, published by Headline, include Passion (‘a big book in both style and ambition: a flamboyant, confident and endlessly inventive novel about Shelley, Byron, Keats’ – Hilary Mantel) and The Taste of Sorrow, which was shortlisted for the 2010 Portico Prize. He has also written crime fiction (twice shortlisted for the CWA Historical Dagger) and has recently written on Shakespeare for the Huffington Post and the New York Times.
