Laura Quick is an award-winning illustrator, who graduated from Illustration at Brighton University in 2001. Since then she has worked for and collaborated with clients internationally, from the BBC and the Guardian, to The Royal Opera House and Hermès, in publishing, visual merchandising and branding. Laura also published her book The Quick Guide to Parenting in 2016 (Pavilion), a comical yet tender visual account of the daily experiences and interactions between parent and child.
Laura’s primary interest is in observing people and lives, by tapping into commonly experienced themes and the humour within them, even in the darker moments. Themes such as frustration, anger, love, adoration, desperation, loss, jealously, tenderness, desire and, of course, the ever-present schadenfreude.
